Our Story
Our Story
We have been married for 36 years and now have two wonderful married daughters and three grandchildren. Following Jesus has been the agenda for all our married life. Not long after getting married, we started serving in a Church on an American air force base. It was during these years we started using the phrase ‘missionaries in our own country’ because we spent all our time with our American church friends and carried more US dollars in our pockets than UK pounds. Little did we know that one day we would be missionaries in our own country. In 1996, Andy was invited to go on staff at a Church in Watford as their Music Director and this was the beginning of working for the church. After moving to a much larger church in London, followed by a church in Letchworth Garden City, Andy was ordained in 2003 and we moved to lead a church in North Yorkshire for 10 years. We then moved to lead a church in Birmingham in 2016. However, in 2021, we began a new chapter. We left the model of church we had served for over 25 years and started on a quest for fruitfulness. This was the beginning of the B network and a desire to equip and encourage others to join Jesus on mission. If you would like to support on this journey, you can donate here: Andy and Andrea – Missionaries, U.K.
Our Dream
Our Dream
Our goal is to be all in, and do our best to join Jesus on mission. He has made us unique, given us abilities and resources and we want to use them to make a difference. We had the dream of the B network back in 2021, but it has been a long time in being formed. We are both creative but express our creativity in different ways. Andrea loves baking and crafts while Andy loves music and seems to be always dreaming and scheming new projects. These abilities led to us starting two community choirs where we not only sing, but eat cake! These have become vibrant communities and we hope to start more. We have also pioneered the Advent Tree Network drawing curious passers-by to consider the giver of lasting love, joy, hope and peace through a QR code linked to a website: The Advent Tree Network
Alongside the Advent Tree Network, we have launched an online shop with beautiful handmade crafts, each created with care to share warmth, love, joy, hope, and peace. Gifts including candles and wreaths to brighten hearts and homes through the Advent Season. Please visit the shop: The Advent Tree Shop
We have also been on a unique journey and know many more who have had a similar experience. We encourage and help others to navigate the transition from the familiar church territory to a new way of thinking and living.
Our Rhythms
Weekly
B:803 – We meet as a network every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:03am to pray online for 15 minutes.
Gathering – We meet once a week in person as a micro church to worship, pray, read the Bible and encourage one another.
Quarterly
Speak Life – We gather every three months to eat, worship, pray and declare life over our city and the ministry God has called us to. It’s informal, led by the Holy Spirit and open to pioneers and followers of Jesus who want to see a movement of disciple makers across our city and beyond.
Retreat Day – Every three months we retreat for a day. It’s a space to reflect on what God has been doing and seek Him for what He wants us to prioritise for the next three months.
